I don't mind positive criticism, but for god's sake, figure out why you like what you like and tell me. And if you see something wrong, tell me that, too. PLEASE.
People say I judge my own work too harshly. I judge everything too harshly. That's how I am. For example. this piece. My first Deviation. A Daily Deviation, for reasons I have never understood. I will now point out all the things I see wrong with it. This could take a while.
- The nose. It looks weird. Yes, this was my style at the time, but it's an innacurate one - that large an area should notbe so darkly shaded.
- Hair. I always draw Makenzie looking like she has much more hair on the side facing away from the viewer. It needs to be corrected.
- Continuity. Makenzie's breasts should be large than they appear to be in this picture. They are usually drawn larger than that.
- Skin. I used only two layers of color when I should have used three, ideally four or five. The coloring looks very flat.
- Chemise. Again, not near enough colors used - there should have been at least another two layers of shading. Also, many of the wrinkles are either gratuitous or they make no sense whatsoever.
- Bodice could use some texture. Also, either more dramatic or more graduated shading, looks like bad-gif quality colors as is.
- That right hand. I hate that hand. The bending of the joints should make the fingers more visible on her shoulder.
- The straw belt has very minimal shading, enough to give it depth but not enough to show it's wrapped around her.
- Overskirt. The vines are difficult to make out properly (too thick in contrast to the leaves), not shaded, and the skirt itself needs both more folds and more depth.
- Underskirt. Again, more shading. And if you look closely, you will see there IS NO OTHER SIDE TO THE SKIRT. Where it flares up in front, you should be able to see the back of the skirt. It is not there. It would also be uneven were it lying straight.
- Feet. Oh, dear god, the feet. Her left foot is all kinds of wrong, it's too boxy at the front and the perspective is awkward. The straps of the shoes are shakily inked and sloppily colored - they use a dodge-and-burn style where the rest of the image is cel colored, it should match. Shoe design not well enough thought out, how are they tied, and where?
Everyone's too afraid of hurting someone else's fucking feelings. Let me state this: You cannot possibly dislike any of these images more than I do. Rip them apart. Tell me every last detail about what you hate about them, and why.

What's the project (if it's still going on)?
